At the July 12 drop-off the odometer read 7,778 km. Two weeks later it was 10,340 km \u2014 2,562 km in fourteen days.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dropped_Off_at_11_01_Back_at_11_43\"><\/span>Dropped Off at 11:01, Back at 11:43<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Short version: the whole job took 42 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The invoice records it to the second. Checked in at 11:01:51, out at 11:43:31, against an estimated completion of 11:45:18. Completely wrong. Nothing electrical about it \u2014 just a physical pinch.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awkward part is that the same component was replaced the first time too. If the pinch was already there after round one, nobody removed the actual cause, which explains neatly why the symptom returned within four days.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Which also means both light units I had swapped out were probably working fine all along. The same light, in the same hole, a second time.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because it falls under the new vehicle warranty, Tesla keeps fixing it at no cost until it is genuinely fixed. That is the part of a new car warranty you really appreciate on the third visit.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lunch_Across_the_Road_While_the_Car_Was_In\"><\/span>Lunch Across the Road While the Car Was In<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the car handed over, we walked across to kyoto family, the shopping mall directly opposite. Same routine as the <a href=\"https:\/\/everinterest.net\/en\/tesla-modelyl-kyoto-service-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">first visit to this service center<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drop-off was just before noon, so the wait doubled as lunch.
