This is my review of a suede Tesla center console sticker from AliExpress. Ever since my Model YL was delivered, the center console has been covered with a towel.
The plastic panel just looked like it would scratch the moment I put anything on it. So I laid a towel over it as a quick fix — and that quick fix somehow became permanent.
Washing and swapping the towel every few days was a minor hassle, too. I had gotten so used to the sight that I stopped noticing it, but honestly, it looked neither tidy nor smart.
Then a big batch of AliExpress goodies I had ordered finally arrived. Today I am installing one of them: a suede-style protective sticker set for the center console.
What I Bought: A Suede Tesla Center Console Sticker
A center console protective sticker set for the Tesla Model 3/Y family, found on AliExpress. It is a suede-style finish in graphite black, and the set covers all three panels of the console.
Inside the package was a thin sheet in an anti-static bag. The packaging was solid — no creases or warping.

Installation: Done While Supercharging
I did the installation during a Supercharger session. That charging downtime turns out to be the perfect window for small interior projects like this.
First, off comes the towel, revealing the bare console. It is a plastic panel with a fine dot pattern — the texture itself is not bad, but it looks like the kind of surface where fingerprints and light scratches would show quickly.
The sheets come pre-cut to match each of the three panels, so it is simply a matter of lining them up and pressing them on. Nothing tricky at all — I finished before the charging session ended.
The Result
Here is the console after the install. The glossy plastic panel has transformed into a matte suede-style surface.
I really like how it turned out. The brushed texture feels great to the touch, and since this is exactly where your arm and hand rest, the satisfaction factor is high.
With the Tesla center console sticker applied to all three panels, it looks like this. The seam lines follow the console naturally, and there is almost no aftermarket look to it.
One thing I was worried about: the console lid is a moving part. But the sheet is thin enough that it does not interfere with opening and closing at all. Everything works as normal.
I have been adding other AliExpress accessories to the Model YL as well, like the door handle storage boxes and the sun visor sunglasses holder. They are all cheap and practical, so check those out too if you are interested.

After months of towel life since delivery, the console finally looks and feels the way it should. No more washing and rotating towels, either.
Being a suede-style material, it will eventually get dirty or worn. But at this price, I can simply peel it off and stick on a new one. Rather than worrying about scratching the original panel, I can now think “if it gets dirty, just replace it” — and that peace of mind might be the biggest value of all.
