ATTO 3 Wiper Replacement: ¥1,566 AliExpress Blades

My latest ATTO 3 wiper replacement uses another low-cost pair of silicone blades from AliExpress. The new pair cost ¥1,566 (about US$10), while the previous AliExpress pair lasted roughly 17 months.

Wiping performance was still mostly fine, but I had started noticing a few missed areas. Once I removed the old blades, I also found weathered plastic around the mounting points and a little rust inside. For this price, though, I am more than satisfied with the service life.

If you are unfamiliar with the vehicle, BYD’s official ATTO 3 page gives an overview of the model.

The ¥1,566 AliExpress silicone wipers

I bought another ATTO 3-specific pair from AliExpress on July 2, 2026. The receipt shows ¥1,566 for the two front blades.

Here is the product I purchased.

Inside the outer bag, the wipers were protected by air-column packaging.

The previous pair was also a low-cost silicone type from AliExpress. I installed it around April 13, 2025, and replaced it in September 2026, so it lasted about 17 months. It worked quietly after installation, with almost no judder on my water-repellent windshield.

After about 17 months, I started to notice a little streaking. That is a perfectly acceptable lifespan for blades in this price range.

A year before that, I had also fitted a cheap pair from AliExpress. Those blades were conventional rubber rather than silicone, and they tended to judder on my water-repellent windshield. If your glass has a water-repellent coating, this is one reason to check the blade material before buying.

What 17 months did to the old blades

Before removal, the plastic around the mounting section already looked quite weathered.

The underside also had small rust spots along the internal metal strips.

This is where the low price starts to show. Still, the blades had not come loose, and wiping performance remained mostly trouble-free until replacement.

For roughly ¥1,500 per pair, replacing the entire blades at regular intervals works well for me.

ATTO 3 wiper replacement starts on the touchscreen

The ATTO 3 parks its wipers beneath the rear edge of the hood, so the arms cannot simply be lifted from their normal position.

On the center screen, I open Service, choose Maintenance Mode, and then enable Front Wiper Inspection.

The arms then move upward to a position where they can be lifted safely.

Protecting the windshield with a towel

Before removing a blade, I place a folded towel on the windshield beneath the arm.

If my hand slips while the blade is off, the bare metal arm could snap back against the glass. That impact can crack a windshield, so I always use a towel as a cushion.

The blade has a small square release button at the mounting point. I press this button while pulling the blade off the arm.

I slide the new blade into the same mounting point, then pull it gently to confirm that it is locked.

Finally, I switch Front Wiper Inspection off on the touchscreen. The wipers return to their normal parked position.

My best-value combination: silicone blades plus windshield coating

The removed blades showed signs of cheap construction, especially the rust inside. Even so, the silicone edges wiped well for about 17 months.

My preferred approach is simple: use inexpensive silicone blades, replace them when streaking starts, and apply a water-repellent coating to the windshield. The coating reduces how often I need to run the wipers, while the low blade price means I do not feel the need to stretch their service life.

For my ATTO 3, that combination offers the best value. I will keep replacing the entire blades rather than trying to make an aging pair last longer.
